Before you pay.
What does the AI cost, on top of the license?
For text, very little: depending on the model, from less than a tenth of a cent to a few cents per answer. Providers bill by the token, a fragment of a word, and each request counts a few thousand: your text, Aureole’s instructions, the tools it needs. Fast models (DeepSeek, Claude Haiku, Mistral Small…) sit at the bottom of the range, the most powerful at the top. An image costs from a few cents to a few dozen cents, a few seconds of video up to several euros. A model installed on your Mac costs nothing.
And you set the budget. Most providers sell prepaid credit, in their own currency, often dollars: without automatic top-up, you never spend more than that credit, and a few euros already buy thousands of answers with a fast model. Aureole keeps track of every answer.
Can I use Aureole for my work and my clients?
Yes, with the Pro or Team license: the Personal license is for personal use. What you can do with generated content depends on each provider’s terms.
What if Aureole isn’t right for me?
For fourteen days after purchase, you get a full refund, no questions asked: write to hello@aureole.app. The refund goes back to your payment method within fourteen days, and the license is deactivated. Once per person.
What happens when my updates end?
You keep the last version you received, and use it for as long as you like. To get the next ones, you extend your updates, at the price of the day: never automatically. One limit: compatibility with a version of macOS released later is only guaranteed while your updates last.
What if I change Macs?
Your license moves with you. On the old Mac, Deactivate on This Mac…, in Aureole’s My Account window; then activate the same key on the new one. Old Mac lost or broken? Write to us. You can also hand your license over to someone else: we transfer it.
Is VAT included? Who takes the payment?
Prices include all taxes: the checkout page shows the exact amount in your currency, with your country’s VAT. It is run by our reseller, named on that page and on your invoice: it sells you the license, collects the price and invoices you. A business in the European Union? Enter your VAT number. Your key arrives by email as soon as you pay.
